SAVEing Angels
New for the 2009 holiday season is our SAVEing Angels Program. We developed this program to adapt to the needs of the women, men and children we help instead of asking them to adapt to our program. We encourage you to go beyond a single special day that comes but once a year—be a SAVEing Angel and meet our families’ needs so that every day will be special. Rest assured that our clients’ holiday wishes will be met through other community resources.
Join the SAVEing Angels Program and “take flight” as a/an:
Holiday Angel
Give the gifts of sustenance, shelter, safety, support, and strength. These gifts will not break, run out of batteries, or go out of style. They will last for more than the holiday season; they will last for a lifetime, so that every day our clients can open your present – a life free from violence.

| $250 Angel | can provide safety from abuser with a temporary restraining order |
| $500 Angel | can provide support from crisis line counselor any time of day or night |
| $1000 Angel | can provide lasting strength with support groups, and end the cycle of violence. |
Gifting Angel
Imagine two situations:
1. A family arrives at our shelter with only the clothes on their backs – no extra underwear, clothes that are not warm enough for the winter weather, and shoes with holes in the sole. While we may have donated items to give them, often times they need to buy something new that will fit.
2. The shelter pantry is filled with pasta and canned foods, but a mother has run out of money to purchase fresh milk, meats, and bread.
Donated gift cards easily resolve these situations. Become a Gifting Angel and donate gift cards from Target, Wal-Mart, Food Maxx, or Smart & Final ($25 denomination preferred). These will be disbursed as needed throughout the year.
Everyday Items Angel
Our families have essential needs everyday of the year, just like you do, especially underwear, socks, and pajamas.
An Everyday Items Angel will donate new pajamas, socks, and underwear in various sizes for kids and adults that we can store until needed throughout the year.
