"Speak Out Against Domestic Violence" – August 5 - 6
Help SAVE receive $20,000
 AVON joined the
Fremont Festival of the Arts and SAVE this year (2006) with a
great sponsorship and grant opportunity. Across the country, AVON
is attending festivals and, along with the local domestic violence
agency near each festival, collecting signatures to "SPEAK OUT
AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE."” Whichever agency collects the most
signatures in 2 days wins a $20,000 grant from the Avon Foundation.
SAVE was out in full force August 5th and
6th at the corner of Capitol and Hastings asking festival
goers to Speak Out Against Domestic Violence. The response was
phenomenal! The support for SAVE and the awareness campaign was
extremely high. SAVE will know the results of the Avon challenge in
late November or early December. We sure are hoping to win! |
