About SAVE
SAVE's mission is to provide alternatives
to domestic violence through support services, advocacy
and education, and to assist domestic violence victims
and their families to end the cycle of violence. SAVE is located in Southern Alameda
County, California, but serves clients from any city, county, state,
or country.
SAVE is a non-profit community-based
organization founded in 1976 to address the needs of
people experiencing family violence. We offer complete
services from crisis to the establishment of a
violence-free, self-sufficient life.
SAVE is funded by federal, state and
local jurisdictions, private foundations,
corporations, and concerned individuals.

In the past year, SAVE
has:

Answered 4600 crisis calls to our
24-hour hotline

Completed 642 Temporary
Restraining Orders to keep the batterer away from the victim

Reached almost 1200 teens with our
Teen Dating Violence Prevention presentations

Provided shelter to 360 women and
children through our emergency shelter, 18-month transitional
housing, subsidized housing programs, and motel vouchers

Assisted 1890 domestic violence
victims with crisis intervention at local police departments
